Do you accept insurance?
No. We are a direct-pay practice. This allows us to order evidence-based labs without insurance restrictions, spend full consultation time with you, and bill transparently. Many patients use HSA or FSA funds.
Where do I get my labs drawn?
We order through LabCorp or Quest Diagnostics. You visit any patient service center near you — thousands of locations nationwide. Lab pricing is shown upfront before you book.
Are consultations virtual?
Yes. All physician consultations are conducted via secure telehealth video. We are licensed to see patients in Minnesota. Additional states may be available — contact us to confirm your state.
What happens after my package ends?
Nothing automatically. There is no subscription. If you want follow-up care, you can book a Lite check-in, a 90-day recheck, or a new Precision Package — entirely on your terms.
Can you prescribe medications?
Yes. As a licensed physician, Dr. Emma can prescribe medications including GLP-1 agonists, metformin, statins, thyroid medications, and HRT when clinically appropriate and within the scope of our telehealth practice.
How is this different from Function Health or Viome?
Those platforms order large panels without a physician consultation and interpret results algorithmically. PrimeCare starts with a physician visit, orders only what answers your specific clinical question, and delivers a physician-written interpretation with documented clinical reasoning.
How long does the process take?
Initial consultation to final report is typically 10–14 days: 2–3 days to your lab draw, 2–4 days for results, and 2–3 days for your physician interpretation and follow-up visit.
Is the Brain & Cognitive package appropriate for everyone?
It is most valuable for patients over 45 with cognitive concerns, a family history of Alzheimer's, or elevated modifiable risk factors like homocysteine. P-tau217 is a validated blood biomarker — not a speculative test — and the interpretation includes a clear action framework.
